Gene and Linda Clore are onsite throughout your wedding weekend, providing a level of personal attention and support that is hard to find at larger venues.
From your first tour to your wedding day, they are there to ensure everything runs smoothly and that you feel comfortable, supported, and taken care of.

Linda and Gene's goal is to provide a million-dollar outside wedding site at an affordable price AND treat every bride like she is our own daughter.
In the 1950s through the mid 1970’s, the site was known as Motts Run Landing, which provided access to the Rappahannock River for families, boaters, and fishermen by day and a local lovers' lane by night.
In 1979, Gene & Linda Clore purchased this 2 ½ acre slice of heaven and dedicated their lives to the fun and pleasure of those who wished to enjoy the Rappahannock and Rapidan rivers by canoe.
Because of its natural beauty, a friend of the family, in 1993, requested to have their wedding overlooking the river. Thus was the inception of Riverside Weddings. After a few years of one or two weddings per year with family and friends (and friends telling friends about our enchanting spot to get married) it was obvious that we had become “Riverside Weddings by Clore.”
Since then, we have listened to our bride’s suggestions and have strived to enhance its natural beauty while providing all of the necessities for a beautiful and memorable wedding.
